     Now I got some pop culture knowledge, I can apply it to television. Sometimes I see the news channel, such as ABC7 and WGN. I can see a lot different kinds of news. So I can apply my pop culture knowledge to television. For example, the news showed me about tattoo. In china, the tattoo is not popular. Because the people think that is a symbol. Chinese people are losing in feudal society. While a watch TV and know more about tattoo. That is a pop culture. That is fashion. That is motto. Some people like something popular logo as tattoo.

     This is our team’s Glog. You can see the word pop culture studies. I went to Millennium Park and we do some researcher about pop culture and high culture. So you can see the guy who are interviewing. In fact, there are a lot of people did not know what is pop culture and high culture. They want us to explain it to them. You can see the Beans and the opera house. That’s all pop culture.

Technology

 

 

Communication is Technology that I cannot live without. Communication is the way connected people and people. So if you have Communication Technology, you haven’t generation gap with anyone. In the other hand, if you are good at Communication Technology, you can sell something to earn money and persuade the business man so that got a contrast.  So I think that is the importance of technology in my life.

Movies

I had a deep impression about when Hobbs caught the Dom and Conner, Hobbs take them back to America. But on the way to airport, they suffered the attack underground forces. Hobbs teammates are died in the shootout. They are totally fall in disadvantaged . At this time, the female police let Dom and Conner to go out the car and fight with the underground forces and save Hobbs’ life. After that, they are all together to against the underground force. Finally, Hobbs met them in the middle of the bridge, but Hobbs tells them run away right now, I will catch you tomorrow.

        I recommend this movie. I think the kids and adults, both of them will like it. Because the kids like the car, so the movie shows a lot of crazy car in the screen. And a lot of adults are real understood about the cars will like it. Because there are a lot of high speech cars in the movie. Such as Ford GT40, Nissan skyline, Porsche GT3 RS, Subaru STI and so on. This is one of the reasons why I like it. And the movie have a Compact plot that let me keep going to look forward the plot what will show me later.

Music

     A-MEI is my favorite singer form Taiwan, China.  She has 12 year career and she is aborigines ethnic Puyuma in Taiwan. Joining the televised "Five Lights Singing Contest" is her first connected to the entertainment business.  Later discovered by the popular singer/producer Chang Yu-Sheng  and started her career. She is starting her career in 1996. At the same year, she was signed with Forward Music. She had a big influence for aboriginal singers. ‘Sisters’ is her first album. And she won a lot of awards.

Reading

     ‘I Want to Be Miss America’ is a reading we did in class. This reading made me think about the cultural identity. They watched many Miss America pageants and thought those women were beautiful which made her feel insecure and more determined to be like the women on Television. They wanted to go to adjust to American lifestyle. If you wanted to be America, you didn’t copy them. What I learned from this reading is that no matter who you are, if you work hard and became the best one you can be you can reach any goal in life.

Cultural Identity

 

 

This is my poster I made. It showed about all kinds of Chinese culture, about construction, history and handicraft. From the poster overall, it showed a simple arrangement. Actually, it included some special ideal inside.

You can see the image about the make-up. I chose this image, because it’s one of Chinese cultures can include Chinese element preferably. The make-up through a lot of dynasty, it means Chinese history have a long history.
